Emily has a life long history with and a love for sports and physical activity. Fitness and Yoga have transformed her mental health, physical health and spiritual wellness, in so many ways; that she feels that her true passion is to share this knowledge and experience with others.  Her biggest joy is in seeing people do things that they thought they never could.

Emily’s Specialty Areas and Experience

General Fitness/Weight Training

Obtained her diploma from Hilltop Academy in New Westminster BC, to become a BCRPA certified personal trainer with specialty education in the areas of general fitness and weight training.  This allows her to work easily with the general population.

Basic Yoga,  Mindfulness and Meditation

Breath work, meditation, flexibility, balance, strength and endurance.  These things are all part of the yoga experience at EO Fitness and Yoga.
Emily obtained a 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2018 from Karma Teachers Vancouver BC. Karma Teachers is a non profit yoga studio that used to service the downtown eastside with classes free/by donation.  The studio has  been closed to the public since covid but KT still facilitates yoga teacher training throughout the year.

Older Adult/Senior Population

Emily’s fitness diploma includes in depth education to specialize in working with older adults/seniors population.  Since graduating in 2016, Emily has worked with countless older or retired individuals who need the knowledge, skills, and motivation to stay active and healthy as they age.

Individuals with Chronic Conditions and Disabilities

Education and experience with:
  • Spinal Cord Injuries – full or partial severance at various points
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Charcot Marie Tooth Disease
